Well, it’s that time of year yet again. Yes, you guessed it, Fall. To me it marks the biggest changes of all the season. You have the trees changing color, the wind coming out of the north a lot more which makes the days colder. The daylight changes as well. If you’re a golfer, you know this when you are looking for it in the middle of the fairway. (Of course, this is what I tell my golfing friends when we are playing for money) It’s the end of the baseball season and the start of football season. It’s Halloween and Thanksgiving with Christmas close behind. This time of year seems to come faster and faster as I get older.
This time of year brings back a lot of great memories of my daughters. You know what I am talking about; pumpkin picking, making scarecrows, (using my favorite flannel shirts) Leave piles of leaves and of course trick or treating. I must have a million photos of my girls at different ages in different costumes. I can’t believe how much our kids change over time. I’m not sure that I saw it as I was living it. But, I sure see it now!
I know what your thinking, oh here we go again, Jeff’s getting sappy. Your right, I guess that I am. It turns out that my daughter took to heart my whining about my biological clock ticking and to get busy with a grandchild. Last week I was informed that I’m to be a Grandfather. So, I just wanted to share the news with you all and wish you all a happy Fall.
