Summer

July 18, 2019

So far, the Summer has been a little tough for me. It started with me having surgery for Prostate Cancer in the early part of June. (I’m pretty sure they got it all) Thank you for your cards and well wishes, they are totally appreciated. I am on the mend and am back in the office. I’m hoping to be 100% back by August…

Early July my mother passed away. She was 94. My mother had a full life and died the way she wanted to; Home and in her own bed with her family around. As she told me several times, she was ready.

With both events happening within a short period of time, I have some time to think about the things that are important to me. Don’t worry, I’m not going to ramble on about stuff. But I will tell you that about a month before I went in for surgery, I made sure that all the pertinent information about me was organized in a book, so that my daughters would have no problems settling my affairs. I have put together an organization book that puts everything from contacts to life insurance in order.  Fortunately, I did the same for my mother a few years ago. I can tell you firsthand that it has been tremendously helpful working with her estate.

When we next get together ask me for one. I’ll be happy to show you how to use it.

Here’s hoping that you all have a great Summer!
