As I sit here thinking of what to write for my “Blog”, because of a promise made to Ursula, my mind keeps going back to the Superbowl. A lot of people think the game was boring. But, to a football aficionado, the game was interesting. The game was totally defensive which totally stymied the offenses. By the end of the first quarter, the game plans went out the window.  By the fourth quarter it was still anyone’s game to win.  Even though the Patriots went up by 10, you knew that it would just take one play to keep the Rams in the game. To me, that’s what made this Superbowl exciting.

It’s the same idea with building a portfolio and planning for retirement. Sometimes your game plan can go out the window because of the market or just personal changes. (Things in life just happen) That’s it’s important to meet once a year to review and to make sure whatever we set up, it has the flexibility to adjust to those changes. That’s what we do as a team.

Now that football season is over, I promise this will be my last football analogy for at least six months.
